Kendriya vidyalaya ,Hajipur was established by the kendriya vidyalaya sangathan ,New Delhi, Under KVS Patna region in April 2003. At present ,the vidyalaya is running in a temporary building provided by the state government ,the sponsoring authority .The vidyalaya is situated at Dighi kalan ,enroute the National Highway No. 77. The mango groves and the semal trees in the vidyalaya premises not only refreshes the environment and atmosphere , but also provides it an appealing and pleasant outlook. The lush green plants and beautiful flowers nuctured by the studens and employees of the vidyalay adds to the beauty of the vidyalaya.
The future and destiny of 450 students are being shaped by a team of 23 dedicated and experienced teachers under the guidance and care of the ,earned principal, Dr. D.N. Singh. The vidyalaya is affiliated to central Board of Seondary Education .At present it has only one session and runs classes from 1 to 10.

Historical Importance of the places :

The  vidyalaya is  situated at this scared and pious land  of the Ganga and the Gandak sangam .Sonepur ,the place where  the  largest cattle fair of Asia is held  every year lies at a distance of 5km. from the vidyalaya.Kaunhara Ghat (Kaun Hara ) , the ghat where the famous  fight between the  Gaj (elephant) and the Ghraha(crocodile) took place is also a part of  hajipur.Hajipur is the land of Lord Mahavir in the world was enacted during  the Liechivi  rule in vaishali also accredits to its  prestige. Vaishali which is at a distance of 3.5 km from hajipur is also famous for its archaeological remains.
